Qualification Purpose
The purpose of this qualification is to provide learners with the knowledge and understanding required to enter the Spectator Safety sector. The qualification is mapped to the SkillsActive Spectator Safety NOS suite 2019.

- Multiple-choice or short written assessments for each unit
- Scenario-based questions
- No formal exam; the qualification is assessed internally and quality assured externally
Progression
Learners who achieve this qualification could progress to:
- NCFE Level 2 Certificate in Spectator Safety
• NCFE Level 3 Certificate in Spectator Safety Supervision
Upon completion of this qualification, learners will meet the requirements of
Section 4.10b of the Guide to Safety at Sports Grounds, ‘Green Guide’ in
England and Wales and ‘Red Guide’ in Northern Ireland.
Learners should undertake further training and assessment of competence
to obtain the Level 2 Certificate in Spectator Safety, if wishing to continue in employment in the sector.
